Altamira Qingdao 2020/21 Virtual Ensemble Competition
During these unprecedented times, Altamira Guitars is offering an opportunity for ensemble and chamber groups from around the world to perform and compete for a prize offering in excess of $30,000 USD. We are thankful to have the support of the world’s leading guitarists and chamber musicians who make up our superstar adjudication panel.
This competition will have two categories:
Large Ensemble
4+ members
Quartets, Chamber Groups
(with at least 1 guitarist)
Small Ensemble
2-3 members
Duos and Trios
(with at least 1 guitarist)
Competition Total Prize Offering valued at over US$30,000

The Altamira Qingdao 2020/21 Virtual Guitar Competition will take place in Q1 2021.
Applications open 1 - 31 January 2021
First Round - 22 - 26 Feb 2021
Finals - 22 - 26 Mar 2021
Qingdao live event planned for June/July 2021 subject to COVID restrictions - winners invited.
