Application Process.
First Round:
The first round application video submitted must be a newly recorded performance uploaded to a streaming service – YouTube, Vimeo or Youku. A direct link (public or unlisted) of the video should be submitted as the application.
The applicant group performance may be recorded with all members together (if restrictions allow this), or they may be collated as a split screen video.
The applicant group must have at least one member introduce themselves at the start of the video stating the video was made specifically for the Altamira Qingdao Virtual Ensemble Competition. The video must be a new video for this competition. We reserve the right to not accept applications if it is obvious an old recording has been used. While sound quality is not judged, it is highly preferred that a good sound system is used to record the sound separate from the video. Keep the video timing to the requirements above, if you play for over the recommended time, the additional time (after the required time) will not be viewed and considered by the jury.
Groups should submit their first round application videos here. Successful groups progressing to the finals will be contacted directly with instructions on submitting their final videos.
