Our intermediate category for those aged between 12 and 18 years old - born between 1st January 2003 and 31st December 2008. US$35 Application Fee. Max applicants: 60.
Repertoire
First round performance should be ONE free choice work in any style, and should not exceed the duration of 7 mins.
Final round performance should be ONE or TWO free choice works in any style, and should not exceed the duration of 10 mins. Pieces from the previous round cannot be repeated. A maximum of 20 players will be admitted to the final round.
*time durations are for playing only, tuning and introduction is not included in time limit.
第一轮自选乐曲一首，整个演奏必须在7分钟或以内完成，作品时期及风格不限。
决赛自选乐曲一首或两首，整个演奏必须在10分钟或以内完成，作品时期及风格不限（不得与第一轮乐曲重复）。最多只有20位参数选手可以进入决赛。

The winner will also receive an Altamira L’Orfeo Guitar – the winner will be able to choose the size of the guitar (either 7/8 size or full size)

Application Process.
First Round:
The first round application video submitted must be a newly recorded, unedited live performance uploaded to a streaming service – YouTube or Youku. A direct link (public or unlisted) of the video should be submitted as the application. While sound quality is not judged, it is highly preferred that a good sound system is used to record the sound separate from the video.
Applicants MUST introduce themselves at the start of the video and state they are entering the 2020 Altamira International Virtual Guitar Competition.
Applicants should submit their first round application videos here. Successful applicants progressing to the finals will be contacted directly with instructions on submitting their final videos. At this stage they will also be asked to provide:
- A PDF or JPG of ID or Passport showing applicant age (redacted images accepted)
- PDF of music performed (final round only)
Final Round:
For the final rounds, we will ask finalists to send in their unedited full performance video (via large file transfer provided – Google Drive, WeTransfer, QQ etc.) instead of a YouTube/Youku link. We will collate these into one full video for adjudication purposes and for streaming on official Altamira social channels.
